The south of Wales is home to a number of fine gardens and is also an undeniably beautiful part of this rich green country which offers a wealth of history and heritage. We take in three of the finest gardens and enjoy a warm Welsh welcome as we tour the area.

Itinerary
Sunday We depart Cornwall in the morning and travel to Wales. We will have a lunch stop en route and will arrive at our hotel with time to settle in before dinner.
Monday This morning we travel to the pretty seaside town of Tenby. The walled seaside town is picturesque and quaint. In the afternoon we will travel back via the Gower peninsula and visit Mumbles, one of South Wales most popular villages.
Tuesday Today we have a morning visit to The National Botanic Garden of Wales, the county’s number 1 garden. There are many wonderful things to see but the wild flower meadows are particularly at their best in early June. In the afternoon we travel to the nearby Aberglasney House and Gardens. Spectacularly set in the beautiful Tywi valley the origins of this treasure are still shrouded in obscurity.
Wednesday Today we will have a morning visit to St Fagins Museum of Welsh Life. Later in the day we will travel to the ancient city of Cardiff. You can explore the city where innovative architecture sits alongside historic buildings. All of the city’s gems including the impressive castle are within walking distance of the city centre.
Thursday We bid farewell to Swansea in the morning and travel to Dewstow Gardens in Monmouthshire to discover its amazing lost gardens. Buried in the 1940’s this treasure has now been restored and is a rich garden containing many ponds and rills but also a labyrinth of underground grottoes, tunnels and sunken ferneries. After time for lunch in the area we will begin our journey home arriving in the evening.
