Torquay better known as the English Riviera with its twenty two miles of coastline, eighteen beaches and palm trees give a distant Mediterranean ambience. With so much to do and see all combine to make Torquay Britain’s top resort. We will be staying at the very popular Ashley Court Hotel very well situated for the town and harbour. All rooms are ensuite with colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a lift which serves most floors.
Itinerary
Sun Departing Cornwall in the morning we travel via Plymouth to Torquay and our hotel arriving mid afternoon with plenty of time to settle before our evening meal.
Mon A morning excursion to the lovely fishing port of Brixham with an afternoon at leisure to relax on the sea front or maybe take a boat trip out on the bay.
Tue A full day excursion along the coast. Visiting Babbacombe, Teignmouth, and the unspoilt estuary of the river Teign, and Dawlish, a small town and seaside resort on the East Coast.
Wed Today we travel to Totnes and Dartmouth with the opportunity for a river cruise on the Dart or a steam train ride from Dartmouth to Paignton (fares not included).
Thu A day excursion to the beautiful resort of Exmouth with time to enjoy a cruise on the River Exe or just relax by the river. We continue our journey via Budleigh Salterton to Sidmouth and a visit to the Donkey Sanctuary is included.
Fri After a good breakfast we make our return journey to Cornwall via Mortonhampstead and the Moors arriving home early evening.
