Twenty-two miles of coastline, eighteen beaches, palm trees, a distinct Mediterranean ambience and so much to do and see all combine to keep the English Riviera as Britain’s top resort. The gourmets will love the international cuisine of the Bays restaurants and the freshly caught local fish, while the collectors can spend hours in Torquay’s antique and curio shops. We will be staying at the popular Inglewood Hotel. All rooms are en-suite and upper rooms are served by a lift.
Itinerary
Sat Departing Cornwall in the morning we travel via Plymouth to Torquay and our hotel arriving mid afternoon with plenty of time to settle before our evening meal.
Sun A morning excursion to the lovely fishing port of Brixham with an afternoon at leisure to relax on the sea front or maybe take a boat trip out on the bay.
Mon A full day excursion along the coast. Visiting Babbacombe, Teignmouth that lies along a stretch of red sandstone coast and the unspoilt estuary of the river Teign and Dawlish, a small town and seaside resort on the East Coast.
Tue Today we travel to Totnes and Dartmouth with the opportunity for a river cruise on the Dart or a steam train ride from Dartmouth to Paignton (fares not included).
Wed A day at leisure to relax at the harbour or enjoy the popular shopping centre.
Thu A day excursion to the beautiful resort of Exmouth with time to enjoy a cruise on the river Exe or just relax by the river. We continue our journey via Budleigh Salterton to Sidmouth and a visit to the Donkey Sanctuary is included.
Fri After a good breakfast we make our return journey to Cornwall via Mortonhampstead and the Moors arriving home early evening.
