Great Yarmouth is a traditional and much loved seaside town on the Norfolk coast. It boasts fifteen miles of sandy beaches, two promenades and its maritime heritage features highly in the area. It offers a great base for exploring the ever changing coastline of the wonderful county of Norfolk.
Overlooking the sea across Great Yarmouth’s famous Golden Sands, the Burlington Palm Hotel provides a warm and friendly welcome as well as offering great facilities including a heated indoor swimming pool, steam room and sundeck. All rooms have tea and coffee trays, televisions, hairdryers, and telephone. The hotel has a lift to some floors.
Itinerary
Saturday We travel from Cornwall through Norfolk and on reaching the coast we will settle into our base for the next five nights.
Sunday Your first day in Great Yarmouth will be free to explore your surroundings and enjoy the traditional seaside town.
Monday This morning we will drive to the unique city of Norwich where can enjoy the extraordinary buildings, fascinating history and attractive riverside.
Tuesday Today we will have a visit to Royal Sandringham. Built in 1870 by the Prince and Princess of Wales, Sandringham has been passed down through the monarchs, and is now the country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. There is so much to see with the garden, the house, the museum and the church.
Wednesday After breakfast we will travel to Aylsham to board the Bure Valley Railway. The steam train will take us to Wroxham. After time for a coffee in this pretty village we will take a boat trip on the Norfolk broads. Later in the afternoon we move on to Wroxham Barnes where you can enjoy browsing the craft studios, galleries and individual shops.
Thursday Sadly it’s time to say goodbye to Yarmouth and make our return journey. We will arrive back to Cornwall in the evening.
