The stunningly beautiful Dingle Peninsula has been hailed one of the most beautiful places on earth. It stretches thirty miles into The Atlantic Ocean and is dominated by mountains and rugged coastline. Included in our travels will be a guided tour of The Ring of Kerry and a dolphin cruise.
The three star River Island Hotel is a family run hotel set in the heart of a typical Kerry town. All rooms are very well furnished and the hotel has a lift. There will be nightly entertainment.
Itinerary
Saturday We leave Cornwall early in the morning and travel to Pembroke for an afternoon ferry to Rosslare. We enjoy an overnight stop at Dooleys Hotel, Waterford.
Sunday On leaving Dooleys we make the journey to our main hotel at Castleisland. We travel via Blarney where you will have the chance to kiss the Blarney Stone or visit the Woollen Mills. We arrive at our hotel in time to settle in before dinner.
Monday Today we have a day on The Dingle Peninsula. We will discover the region that has inspired poets and writers with its ancient beehive huts and intricate coastline. In the afternoon we will have a boat tour and dolphin watching excursion around Dingle Bay.
Tuesday A guided day excursion today around the beautiful Ring of Kerry. One hundred miles of spectacular scenery around the Iveragh Peninsula dominated by Mac Gillcuddys Reeks. You will travel through Waterville, past Ballinskelligs Bay an onto Caherdaniel, hometown of political hero Daniel O’Connell.
Wednesday We leave our hotel and visit Muckross House. You will have time to explore the wonderful house and extensive gardens before we make our way to Wexford. We will have an overnight stop at The Maldron Hotel, Wexford.
Thursday We have an early Irish breakfast and make our way to Rosslare for our return ferry to Pembroke. We will arrive in Cornwall later in the evening.
