The county of Cheshire is bursting with character and variation and is one of the most picturesque counties in England. The black and white ‘magpie’ houses set in idyllic gardens typify the Cheshire villages. As we explore we will touch on the historical and the classical as well as the vibrant and industrial faces of its well known towns and much loved attractions.

Itinerary
Sunday Leaving Cornwall in the morning we make the journey to Cheshire. On arrival we will enjoy a welcome hot drink and have time to settle into our hotel before dinner.
Monday Today we visit the wonderful Tatton Park. As one of the UKs most complete historic estates this attraction is a must. For nearly 400 years the estate was the property of the Egerton family until it was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1958. You will have free time to explore the neo-classical mansion, wonderful gardens, rare breeds farm and deer park before enjoying a high tea including sandwiches and scones. The Japanese Gardens are considered to be some of the finest in Europe.
Tuesday Chester will be our destination today. Here we will enjoy a guided heritage sightseeing tour. We board a 1920’s vintage double decker bus and your infotaining guide will delight you with snippets and facts about this lovely walled city. Following this you will have free time to see this fascinating medieval walled city by foot.
Wednesday Our day will be spent seeing the sights of the Peak District. The area is a treasure trove of dramatic landscapes. We will visit the picturesque market town of Bakewell that crosses the River Wye and is home to the famous Bakewell pudding, as well as The Cultural Capital of the Peak District, Buxton. This beautiful spa town is blessed with stunning scenery, magnificent architecture, a wealth of shops, and a thriving arts scene.
Thursday We enjoy our last breakfast at the Macdonald Hotel before embarking on our journey back to Cornwall. We will arrive home during the evening.
