CHESTER, LLANDUDNO & LLANGOLLEN

For this tour we are based in the north Wales town of Mold and from here we enjoy a range of contrasting excursions to enjoy the North Wales and Cheshire countryside.

The three star Beaufort Park Hotel is ideally located and offers a warm and friendly welcome along with comfortable accommodation, good food  and entertainment on some evenings.

Itinerary

Monday We depart in the morning for Wales and arrive early in the evening. Tea & bara brith will be served on arrival.

Tuesday A drive through the pleasant Cheshire countryside brings us to the quaint walled city of Chester. You can explore the unique ‘Rows’ of two-tiered shops, stroll around the City Walls or meander down to the River Dee. In the afternoon we visit the excellent Port Sunlight Experience for a nostalgic look at the story of Sunlight Soap.

Wednesday Today we enjoy a scenic drive along the North Wales coast to Llandudno. North Wales’s premier resort is guarded by the bulk of the Great Orme. In the afternoon we travel back via Rhyl and have the latter part of the afternoon to visit the town of Mold.

Thursday We cross the Denbighshire Moors into the Snowdonia National Park. We visit Betws-y-Coed before riding through the impressive countryside to Llanberris, the pretty town sitting at the foot of Snowdonia, Wales’s highest mountain.

Friday Our day begins with a visit to Llangollen, part of a UNESCO WorldHeritage Site and renowned for its surrounding hills and pretty River Dee. There will be time to have a look around before we travel through Denbeighshire to the lakeside town of Bala where we have a visit to the National Slate Museum.

Saturday After breakfast we leave Wales and make the journey home to Cornwall.
