Premier Class Tour

This historic area is of course synonymous with Shakespeare but has much more to offer in the way of history and beauty. We enjoy a taste of the Bard of Avon’s rich history whilst also exploring Warwickshire and its treasures.

The four star Mercure Walton Hall is set in sixty five acres of glorious countryside overlooking a lake. All rooms are in the contemporary hotel and Coach House and are modern in design with hairdryer, telephone, TV, hot drink facilities and iron.

Sunday We travel from Cornwall to Stratford with a lunch break on the way. The hotel will welcome us with a hot drink.

Monday We begin our day with a visit to Shakespeare’s Birthplace which is located in Stratford’s Henley Street, possibly the most famous and visited literary landmark in the UK. There will be time to see this lovely restored house and gardens before enjoying free time in Stratford.

Tuesday After breakfast we have a morning tour of the pretty Cotswold towns before an afternoon visit to Charlecote House and Deer Park, a magnificent Tudor mansion built by Sir Thomas Lucy on a level site beside the River Avon, on the foundations of an even earlier medieval house.

Wednesday This morning we enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Warwick Castle. Developed from an original built by William the Conqueror in 1068 this attraction surrounds visitors with jaw-dropping history, magic, myth and adventure.

Thursday We bid farewell to Stratford and enjoy a morning visit to the ‘porcelain city’ of Worcester. In the afternoon we make our way home to Cornwall.
