LONDONS ROYAL HERITAGE

The city of London is proud of it’s longstanding relationship with the British Monarchy. It boasts a number of world class attractions that are linked to our current Royals as well as those in years gone by. This tour takes in not only a number of city centre attractions but also a visit to Windsor Castle, the favourite weekend home to our Queen.

The four star Bull Hotel is in a peaceful location overlooking Gerrads Cross village common and it retains many original features from its stagecoach halt days. Rooms are furnished to an excellent standard and the staff are courteous and welcoming. There is a lift to all floors.

Itinerary

Thursday In the morning we travel to Buckinghamshire and arriving late afternoon at the Bull Hotel.  There will be a hot drink and biscuits on arrival.

Friday, Saturday & Sunday Over the three days we are in London we enjoy the following attractions:

Windsor Castle and Henley-on-Thames

We make our way along the Thames Valley to the town of Henley-on-Thames, famous for its rowing regatta. We take a break here before continuing on to Royal Windsor. There is time for lunch in the Royal town before a visit to Windsor Castle.

Borough Market

In the atmospheric maze of narrow streets under the railway arches next to beautifully preserved Southwark Cathedral you will find Borough Market, London’s oldest and most prestigious food market. Browse the amazing wares on sale and perhaps relax along the riverside.

Royal Mews

The Royal Mews is one of the finest working stables in existence. See the dazzling Gold State Coach and maybe catch a glimpse of the magnificent horses during this unique visit.

Regents Canal Trip

This historic cruise along the canal named after the Prince Regent, takes us quietly along the green and leafy fringes of Regents Park and on to Little Venice, past the famous London Zoo and through Maida Vale canal tunnel.

Royal Albert Hall

We see inside of this spectacular landmark which is located in the attractive area of Kensington. Opened by Queen Victoria in 1871 it is one of the UK’s most treasured and distinctive buildings.

Monday After breakfast we make the return journey to Cornwall enjoying a lunch break in Bath on the way.
