Itinerary

Sunday We make an early start and travel to Pembroke for our afternoon ferry to Rosslare. Once on Irish turf we make our way to our overnight stop, the Maldron Hotel at Wexford.

Monday After breakfast we visit Ireland’s oldest city, Waterford. We have time to visit the impressive new House of Waterford Crystal, explore the Historic Quarter or perhaps take a walking tour of the city walls. Early in the afternoon we travel to Galway and arrive at The Menlo Park Hotel in time for dinner.

Tuesday Today we have free time in Galway, a picturesque and cultural city with winding streets and distinct medieval architecture. In the afternoon we board the Corrib Princess for a cruise with afternoon tea. The skipper will tell us stories of castles and landmarks that we pass as we wind our way along the River Corrib.

Wednesday Joining our coach we take a scenic tour of the Connemara National Park. Our travels will take in the rugged mountainous scenery complete with local wildlife and roaming ponies. During the day we visit the thriving town of Clifden and the idyllic Kylemore Abbey.

Thursday We say goodbye to Galway and travel through the heart of Ireland to Wexford. We have a visit to Birr Castle Gardens and Science Centre. Both famous attractions are rich in amazing feats of science and engineering as well as rare trees and flowers, wonderful wildlife and walks along peaceful rivers and the lake. Later in the day we make our way back to The Maldron Hotel for an overnight stop.
