Monday We have a morning departure and travel to East Anglia enjoying a welcome tea and coffee on arrival.

Tuesday Our local guide joins us to discover the idyllic villages on a tour of Constable Country. We include the birthplace of John Constable, East Bergholt, the famous church at Dedham, with its 131ft tower, and the little hamlet of Flatford Mill. We then head to the ‘Essex Sunshine Coast’ towns of bustling Clacton-on-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze.

Wednesday Today’s jaunt takes us into the rural north and the coastal village of Thorpeness. Here we pass The House in the Clouds, one of the country’s most famous follies. We come to the time warp seaside town of Aldeburgh where little has changed for years. From here we visit historic Southwold and the historic riverside town of Woodbridge.

Thursday This morning we head for historic Bury St. Edmunds, famous for its Abbey Gardens and the Angel Hotel, where Dickens stayed. Later we visit the pretty villages of Cavendish and Clare. During the day we also visit Sudbury where we enjoy admission to Gainsborough’s House.

Friday After breakfast we leave Colchester and make the homeward journey.
