Itinerary

Friday Leaving Cornwall we enjoy a break for lunch in the fashionable Clifton area of Bristol. We then cross the Severn Bridge to Wales and settle into our hotel.

Saturday This morning begins with a visit to Cardiff Castle. Internationally significant, this fairytale castle is set in beautiful parklands and conceals a fascinating history. Our afternoon will be free to enjoy Cardiff, the compact capital of Wales.

Sunday Today we have a visit to the Royal Mint. Here we have a guided tour to learn of 1,100 years of history and how the UK have produced coins and medals for the United Kingdom and the rest of the world. Later we move on to St. Fagins living open-air museum. Here we explore the last 500 years of Welsh history.

Monday After a leisurely breakfast we check out of our hotel and have a visit to the Big Pit, a real coal mine where we can see what life was like for a miner underground. After lunch we return to Cornwall.
