This four star ship sails the great waterways of Europe and provides unforgettable memories whilst exuding luxury and style in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Excellent service and attention to detail is a priority of the captain and crew. Cabins are split over three decks which are all accessible by lift. The spacious and attractive lounge is located on the Panoramic Deck and provides a great place to watch the scenery pass by.


Saturday We travel from Cornwall to Dover and board an afternoon ferry for Calais. We then travel onto The Altia Hotel, Lille for an overnight stay.

Sunday After breakfast we make our way to our second overnight break at The Mercure Hotel at Stuttgart.  

Monday Our journey today will take us across Germany and into Austria. Later in the afternoon we arrive at Vienna and board The MS Serenity. We settle in and familiarise ourselves with this beautiful ship.

Tuesday We have a day in Vienna to enjoy this magnificent city including a one hour guided coach tour of the city followed by a one hour walking tour. In the afternoon we visit Schonbrunn Palace, a World Cultural Heritage site and Austria’s most-visited place. Early this evening we set sail for Linz.

Wednesday A relaxing morning sailing along the beautiful Danube River. We arrive in the lovely Austrian city of Linz. There will be a few hours to explore the wonderful architecture and impressive riverside before we set sail for Melk.       

Thursday This morning we visit one of the most famous monastic houses in Austria, Melk Abbey. It is one of the biggest and most beautiful European Baroque Ensembles and its splendid architecture is a famous part of UNESCO´s World Cultural Heritage. In the afternoon we cruise to Bratislava.   

Friday After breakfast we have a bus ride up to the castle. Set in an imposing position on a hill above the old town it dominates the city of Bratislava and overlooks the Danube. The castle houses collections from the Slovak National Museum. At lunchtime we return to the ship for lunch as we set sail for Budapest.

Saturday Today we spend time in one of the world’s most beautiful cities and explore both sides of Hungarys capital – traditional ‘Buda’ and cosmopolitan ‘Pest’. We have a three hour guided tour on a local coach including a visit to The Fishermans Bastion. The present day lookout towers are a decorative fortification of the Fisherman’s Bastion and were built in the 19th century to serve as a lookout tower for the best panoramic views in Budapest. In the evening we have a visit to the Puszta Horse Show to be thrilled by the breathtaking and exhilarating stunts. The ship sails overnight to Esztergom.

Sunday Our morning is spent in Esztergom and we visit the famous Basillica. This magnificent neoclassical building is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest, and the seat of the Catholic Church in Hungary. We return to the ship to enjoy lunch as we sail for Vienna.

Monday We say a sad goodbye to our ship at Vienna and make the journey back to Wuerzburg, Germany where we have an overnight break at the Mercure Hotel.

Tuesday After breakfast we continue through Germany and on into France to the Altia Hotel, Lille for our last overnight.

Wednesday Leaving Lille we travel to Calais for a ferry to Dover. We make our way back to Cornwall and arrive home during the evening.
