Itinerary

Monday Leaving Cornwall in the morning we travel north to Yorkshire and arrive at the Queens Hotel early in the evening.

Tuesday A day at leisure in York to explore its many delightful facets. Tourists flock to this petite city to see some of the best preserved historic buildings in the world. Viking heritage, Roman city walls and its famous gothic cathedral all offer an insight into its fascinating past.

Wednesday This morning we travel through the North Yorkshire Moors National Park to Whitby. This lovely fishing town is famed for a number of reasons including the impressive Whitby Abbey, the inspiration for Dracula. For part of our journey we take to the rails on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and step back in time to enjoy the magnificent scenery from our historic carriage.

Thursday Harrogate will be our morning destination. Its handsome historic buildings, verdant gardens and antique emporiums all play an important part in making it unique. This afternoon will be free to see more of York. The Jorvik Centre, National Railway Museum, City Walls and shambles are all within walking distance.

Friday We leave our hotel and make the journey back to Cornwall arriving home during the evening.
