Itinerary

Sunday         We depart Cornwall early in the morning and travel via Exeter and the motorway to arrive at our hotel with time to settle in before dinner. 

Monday        After a leisurely start to the day, we travel to Ravenglass for our steam train journey on the Lake District’s oldest and most scenic railway.  After lunch we continue our journey along the coast to the historic and attractive town of Whitehaven which in recent years has soared in popularity.

Tuesday       This morning we will spend some time in the market town of Penrith before heading off to Keswick on the shore of Derwentwater. We will have time for lunch before continuing our journey to Grasmere, a place once described by William Wordswoth as “the most loveliest spot that man hath found”. We continue our journey via Coniston Water and Haverthwaite before returning to our hotel.

Wednesday  Today we have a beautiful and scenic tour as we travel to Ullswater and Pooley Bridge. Here we board the Lake Steamer for a cruise along the lake to Glenridding. We continue over the rugged Kirkstone Pass onto Windermere and Bowness. You will have time for lunch or just to relax by the lake. We continue via the market town of Kendal before returning to our hotel.

Thursday     After a good breakfast we depart our hotel for the return journey to Cornwall arriving home early evening.

A £75.00 non-returnable and non-transferable deposit per person is required at time of booking to secure your seat, the balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure. Tour subject to loading.
