The family run Melbourne Ardenlea is ideally situated, just a short walk from the beach & Shanklin Old Village. All en suite rooms have television, tea/coffee making facilities and telephone. The hotel has an indoor pool, spa, sauna & entertainment most evenings.
Itinerary
Sunday Departing from Cornwall during the morning we travel to Lymington for the short ferry crossing to Yarmouth. We then travel to our hotel having time to settle before dinner.
Monday A day excursion “Round the Island” to Ventnor Gardens and along the south coast to Freshwater Bay. We then continue to the Alum Bay with time to admire one of the most famous sights on the island – the magnificent chalk stacks of ‘The Needles’.
Tuesday A full day excursion to Sandown, the best loved seaside resort on the Island. Sandown has a bustling centre full of shops, restaurants & bars. There is something for everyone.
Wednesday After breakfast we enjoy a day excursion to Ryde, the largest town on the Island with fine Georgian & Victorian buildings, restaurants, a grand esplanade & seafront.
Thursday We have a morning excursion to Godshill, a pretty village of Thatched Cottages and one of the most photographed places on the Island. This afternoon will be at leisure to explore your immediate surroundings. The Old Village of Shanklin is well worth a visit.
Friday Following a good breakfast we travel to Yarmouth to board the Ferry back to Lymington. We then continue our journey back to Cornwall arriving home early evening.
