Chester & Tatton Park Itinerary
Monday We depart Cornwall in the morning and travel to Chester and settle into our excellent hotel. We enjoy a welcome glass of buck’s fizz before dinner this evening.
Tuesday Our day is free to discover the ancient city of Chester. Venture within the city walls for a truly breath-taking experience where each chapter of Chester’s history is etched into the very fabric of the city. You can take a river cruise or hop on a tour bus to see the many sights.
Wednesday This morning we begin our day with a guided walk around Port Sunlight Village. Discover the fascinating story of a village built on soap and unlock the meaning behind the diverse architecture as well as hearing stories of village life past and present. We also visit the excellent museum. Later we cross the Mersey to visit the Royal Albert Dock. There will be time to explore the vibrant heart of Liverpool’s historic waterfront.
Thursday Today we visit Tatton Park, one of the most complete historic estates in the country. Enjoy uncovering centuries of history at the Medieval Old Hall and witness life above and below stairs in the mansion. Wander at leisure through acres of award-winning gardens and meet special rare breed animals at the working farm.
Friday We enjoy breakfast at our hotel before making our way back to Cornwall.
