Holiday Tour Details
Christmas in South Wales Description
We return to the welcoming Ivy Bush Royal Hotel where a particularly warm Welsh welcome awaits. Carmarthenshire is a county that is dotted with historic and fascinating delights and offers the opportunity to visit the wonderful Pembrokeshire coast. Our festive break will be a Celtic Christmas to remember.
Christmas in South Wales Itinerary
Wednesday We depart Cornwall and make our way to the Severn Bridge and across to Wales. We arrive at our hotel later in the afternoon and enjoy a cream tea before settling in. Fizzy cocktails and canapés will be served before dinner and entertainment will follow.
Thursday – Christmas Eve – Our coach will take us on a guided tour of the spectacular Gower Peninsula before enjoying a visit to the delightful town of Mumbles. Dinner will be followed by carols around the piano. For those who wish to attend Midnight Mass, St Peters Church is just a short walk from our hotel.
Friday – Christmas Day – After breakfast our hotel will serve coffee whilst we will enjoy a visit from Father Christmas and open gifts around the tree. We will then have time to stroll around the town or relax in the hotel. Lunch will of course be a traditional Christmas lunch with all of the trimmings. This afternoon will be a relaxed affair in the hotel with the opportunity to play games or listen to the Queens Speech. Dinner will be an informal buffet followed by film night.
Saturday – Boxing Day – Breakfast today will be leisurely and will be followed by a morning excursion to the ancient walled town of Tenby. At 11.30 around six hundred locals take to the water for the Boxing Day dip. We will return to the hotel for lunch and you will have the afternoon free to explore the town of Carmarthen. Dinner will be followed by entertainment.
Sunday – We say our goodbyes this morning and begin our journey home arriving back in Cornwall early in the evening.
