Cotswold Capers Itinerary
Sunday We depart Cornwall in the morning and travel to the lovely city of Wells where there will be time for lunch. Later we make our way to our hotel.
Monday Our day begins with a visit to Cogges Manor Farm, a living landscape with over a thousand years of history. The beautiful Cotswold stone manor house, farmyard and garden pay testimony to the generations of people who have worked the land. We enjoy tea and cake here before a ride through the beautiful Cotswolds countryside.
Tuesday The spa town of Cheltenham is the most complete Regency town in Britain and we begin our day with time to explore. Later we have a ride on the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway, a heritage line on part of the old Great Western Railway line.
Wednesday A unique experience today as we visit Sezincote, a Mughal Indian palace set in the Cotswold Hills. The house has a copper dome and minarets and is set in a picturesque water garden with seven pools, waterfalls, a grotto and a temple to Surya, the Hindu Sun God. In the afternoon we visit the beautiful Cotswold town of Bourton on the Water, a charming English village, known as the Venice of the Cotwolds.
Thursday Leaving Gloucester we head for the spa city of Bath. This unique feel-good city combines vibrant contemporary culture with a rich history and heritage. In the afternoon we begin our return to Cornwall.
