Historic Kent & Call The Midwife Itinerary
Sunday We depart in the morning and travel to Kent. We arrive in the evening to a welcome hot drink.
Monday After breakfast we travel to the famous Historic Naval Dockyard, the filming location for Call the Midwife. We enjoy a guided Call the Midwife themed tour including access to the impressive new exhibition. After our tour we can explore the historic buildings, three warships, dry docks and Royal Dockyard Museum.
Tuesday This morning we visit the Cathedral town of Rochester with its atmospheric old town and magnificent Rochester Castle; the tallest Norman keep in the country. There will be time for lunch before we visit Leeds Castle. Once a Norman stronghold and home to Henry VIII, the well preserved rooms and gardens are home to innumerable impressive treasures. It is one of the most visited historic buildings in Britain.
Wednesday Today our coach takes us to the Kent coast and the colourful town of Margate, a timeless place combining old world charm with modern culture.
