Longleat Festival of Light Description
We are pleased to be returning to the finest outdoor light festival which is now well established on the Longleat Estate. Hundreds of illuminated characters and scenes will once again transform the estate into a winter wonderland, creating a magical world in the landscaped gardens.
Itinerary
Longleat Festival of Light Itinerary
Thursday We leave Cornwall in the morning and enjoy a visit to the to the lovely city of Wells on the way. Stroll the pretty streets, visit Bishops Palace or perhaps do some Christmas shopping. Later we continue on to our hotel and settle in before dinner.
Friday Today our coach takes us to Longleat where we have a full day to enjoy the many attractions including the magnificent Festival of Light. Explore hundreds of illuminated displays featuring giant recreations of some of the safari park’s famous animals. The incredible hand-made lights are truly stunning. Later in the day the Enchanted Christmas Tree Show takes place combining Christmas songs with a spectacular display of light, projections and snow flurries! The safari park and house will also be included in our day ticket. We leave at 6.30pm to return to our hotel for a late dinner.
Saturday After breakfast we make our way to Somerset where we enjoy a visit to the spectacular Montacute House. Decorated for the festive season, this masterpiece of Elizabethan Renaissance architecture will bring a feel of a luxury Christmas past. This time of year is great for a winter walk in the lovely grounds. Later in the afternoon we make the return journey to Cornwall.
