Norfolk Gold Description
Sweeping beaches and the tranquil Norfolk Broads are what makes the beautiful county of Norfolk popular with tourists. We traverse the scenic route to explore the local gems whilst seeing the rich, golden and red hues of autumn adorning the countryside.
Itinerary
Norfolk Gold Itinerary
Monday We leave Cornwall in the morning and sit back and enjoy the journey to Norwich.
Tuesday Today we head north to the coast, where we visit the popular small resorts of Sheringham and Cromer. In the afternoon we visit Felbrigg Hall, one of the most elegant country houses in East Anglia. The rolling landscape park with its lake, woods and pretty trails will be transformed into golden hues of orange as they don their autumn façade.
Wednesday Our coach takes us on a scenic tour through the beautiful Broads countryside. Amongst the places that we visit include Wroxham and Hoveton, villages which make up the ‘capital of the broads’, sitting either side of the meandering River Bure.
Thursday We head into the heart of Norwich taking time to see one of the most attractive cities in the UK. The centre is easy to explore and is a wonderful fusion of the modern and historic.
Friday This morning we visit the ancient town of Thetford. Known to many as Walmington-on-Sea, or the ‘gateway to the Brecks’ there will be time to look around or visit the Dads Army Museum. Later we visit the Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, a unique museum which tells a moving story of the workhouse and a traditional working farm. It is home to Suffolk Punch horses and glorious river and woodland walks.
Saturday After breakfast we leave Norwich and make our way home to Cornwall.
