This scenic tour is based on the edge of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, at the foot of Snowdon mountain. We explore the dramatic scenery and delight in the crisp wintery days of mountains, coasts and peninsulas whilst enjoying a fabulous inclusive package at our warm and friendly hotel.
Itinerary
North Wales Winter Warmer Itinerary
Monday We depart Cornwall in the morning and travel to North Wales arriving to a welcome hot drink.
Tuesday This morning we travel across the dramatic Snowdonia National Park and break for coffee in the attractive village of Betws-y-Coed. From here we continue to the lovely coastal town of Llandudno. This Victorian seaside gem is nestled in between the Great and Little Ormes and has a history that goes back to the Bronze Age. There will be time to have lunch and explore before returning to our hotel.
Wednesday Today we begin by crossing the Menai Strait to the Isle of Anglesey and the captivating seaside town of Beaumaris. Set within an Area of Outstanding Beauty, it has a lovely mix of medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture. Later we head to the Llyn Peninsula, another Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering some of the best scenery in Wales. We have time in Pwllheli, a coastal town famed for its pretty harbour and sandy beaches.
Thursday Our coach will take us to the historic market town of Caernarfon, home to Wales’ most famous castle and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our afternoon is free to enjoy the quaint village of Llanberis, perhaps stroll along the heritage trail to see its historic gems.
Friday After a full Welsh breakfast we make our way back to Cornwall arriving home in the evening.
