Queen Elizabeth II, Her Life in Style and Kensington Palace Description
We head to the city of London for a weekend of royal reminiscing starting with a visit to the amazing Kensington Palace, birthplace of Queen Victoria and home to young royals for over three hundred years. The highlight of our tour is undoubtedly admission to Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style exhibition, a unique opportunity to see the clothing, jewellery, hats and shoes from our beloved late Queen.
Itinerary
Queen Elizabeth II, Her Life in Style and Kensington Palace Itinerary
Friday Leaving Cornwall in the morning we travel to the greater London area enjoying a leisurely lunch break on the way. We arrive at our hotel early in the evening.
Saturday After breakfast we make our way to Kensington Palace to experience the public dramas and private lives of Henry VIII. Admire the Great Hall and Tudor kitchens of the spectacular baroque palace as well as sixty acres of magnificent gardens. The latter part of our afternoon will be free in the fashionable Kensington town, known for its boutiques, parks and museums.
Sunday After breakfast we head back into the city for a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the unique Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style exhibition. To mark the centenary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth, The King’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace will play host to the largest exhibition of the late Queen’s fashion ever mounted. We leave in the afternoon to travel home to Cornwall.
