A new tour to discover the scenic areas surrounding Stratford-Upon-Avon and the glorious Cotswolds. Our carefully selected excursions take in a range of interest and beauty. We visit a fine house, famous garden and an artisan distillery.
Itinerary
Stratford & The Cotswolds Itinerary
Monday We have a morning departure from Cornwall and enjoy a leisurely lunch break on the way to Warwickshire. We arrive at our hotel later in the afternoon.
Tuesday Our day takes us into the beautiful Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A feast of rustic rural charm, rolling hills and picture-perfect villages will delight us. We include visits to the delightful market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on the-Water and Broadway.
Wednesday Today we head to Stratford-Upon-Avon, a historic market town well known as the birthplace of Shakespeare. Our morning will be free to enjoy the town, perhaps take a river cruise or visit the wide variety of museums. In the afternoon, we head to Shakespeare Distillery for a tour and tasting.
Thursday This morning we head to Coventry, the UK City of Culture 2021. Why not visit the famous Coventry Transport Museum or browse the traditional market. Later we visit Packwood House with its fine collection of 16th century textiles and furniture. The gardens have renowned herbaceous borders and a famous collection of Yews.
Friday After breakfast we leave our hotel and travel to the regenerated Gloucester Dock, a vibrant and pleasant area with beautiful Victorian architecture remains. Later we head for home.
