A varied tour of discovery taking in the birthplace of William Shakespeare and that of Sir Winston Churchill. We enjoy a cruise on the lovely River Avon to discover the Medieval town of Stratford-Upon-Avon and have a full day to delight in the magnificent Blenheim Palace.

Stratford-Upon-Avon Itinerary
Saturday We depart Cornwall in the morning and travel to Warwickshire. On arrival there is time to settle into our lovely hotel before dinner.
Sunday The lovely Batsford Arboretum is our first stop today where we see the wide range of plants from around the world as spring brings a wash of beautiful colour from the thousands of different trees, shrubs and bamboo. Later we visit the beautiful Cotswolds towns of Broadway and Bourton on the Water.
Monday Today we visit Stratford-Upon Avon, the town known for its historic beauty and its most famous son, William Shakespeare. We begin with a relaxing river cruise which offers a tranquil way to discover Shakespeare’s Avon. The friendly onboard guide will bring the past to life. There will then be time for you to explore the lovely town or visit Shakespeare’s birthplace.
Tuesday A visit to the home of the Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Blenheim Palace delivers an awe-inspiring experience for visitors. We get to discover the beauty of this World Heritage Site amongst over 2000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown parkland and Formal Gardens.
Wednesday After enjoying breakfast, we begin our journey home stopping for a leisurely lunch break in the spa city of Bath. In the afternoon we complete the journey back to Cornwall.
