Thursford Christmas Spectacular Description
Based on the outskirts of Cambridge, this delightful pre-Christmas break features the fabulous and much loved Christmas show at Thursford – now recognised as being the largest of its kind in Europe. A massive cast of singers, dancers and musicians deliver a three hour extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. It’s a fast moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year-round favourites.
Itinerary
Thursford Christmas Spectacular Itinerary
Thursday Departing from Cornwall in the morning we travel to Cambridge and arrive at our hotel early in the evening. We enjoy a welcome hot drink and biscuits on arrival.
Friday This morning we head to the historic port town of Kings Lynn before making our way to Thursford. There will be time to browse the ‘olde worlde’ gift shops and have lunch in the tea room before taking our seats for the Thursford Christmas Spectacular. This famous Norfolk Show is a celebration of Christmas with choirs, carols and organs including the mighty Wurlitzer.
Saturday Our day begins with a visit to the historic fenland city of Ely. There will be time to see the ‘Ship of the Fens’ and explore its wonderful mix of the historic and the modern. In the afternoon we visit the majestic city of Cambridge. There will be time to enjoy the quaint passages set around the historic market place and attractive colleges.
Sunday After breakfast we make the journey home to Cornwall.
