Holiday Tours FAQs

If you are new to Williams Travel or haven’t traveled with us for a while then you may have a few questions.
See below for some helpful information regarding questions we are regularly asked: –

Q. How does your Home Pick Up service work?

You will be collected from your front door in a smaller vehicle (car, people carrier or minibus) and taken to a convenient point to meet the main coach. Our driver will assist with your luggage and your tour will start and end conveniently at your front door.

Q. Is my money safe once I have paid you?

All bookings with us are financially protected by the compliance of Williams Travel with the Package Holidays Regulations 1992.
All monies are secured in a Client Trust Account until completion of the tour.

Q. Do I need travel insurance?

We offer a free optional travel insurance policy to all holiday passengers.
We are unable to offer any recommendation or advice but it is important to ensure that you are adequately covered for travel.

Q. Why do you charge a single supplement?

Unfortunately, hotels have traditionally made this charge for the privilege of occupying a room as the cost of heating and servicing is the same regardless of the number of people occupying it.
We do offer many tours with no single supplement and will continue to source as many of these as possible.

Q. I am disabled, can I still travel?

Our inclusive travel ethos means that we welcome people with a range of disabilities. Some holidays are naturally more suited to certain disabilities than others and our detailed itineraries will allow you to select the tour that is suited to your needs.
All we ask is that all passengers must be able to board and alight the coach unaided and that you let us know on booking if you have any special needs or requirements.
We are happy to accommodate walking aids including micro scooters, folding walkers and folding wheelchairs (must be advised on booking).

Q. Can I pick my seat on the coach?

All seats are discussed and allocated on booking, this is on a first come first served basis. The seat number you book will be confirmed in writing and you will keep your seat for the duration of the tour.

Q. What facilities can I expect on board your coach?

All of our comfortable tour coaches have onboard WC, air-conditioning, reclining seats and individual USB points.

Q. What luggage can I take?

We ask that each passenger limits their luggage to one medium sized suitcase per person (approximately 20kg). For health and safety reasons our drivers may not be able to lift cases that are in excess of this weight. You may take a small overnight bag in addition to this if you have an overnight stop on your tour.
Bags containing travel items for your journey or packed lunches etc may be taken on the coach with you.

Q. Do you make any comfort breaks?

On all tours we make regular comfort stops. This will be in appropriate places that offer adequate facilities and the opportunity to purchase drinks and food if required.
You will usually have a break after approximately two and a half to three hours of travelling by coach.

Q. What do I do if I am unhappy with something whilst on holiday?

We will always do our very best to resolve any issues while you are away so please do speak to your driver as soon as a problem arises. This will ensure we deal with any unexpected matters promptly, and that you have an enjoyable holiday.

Q. How do I give feedback?

We are always pleased to hear of your experience and to learn from it to continually improve our future services to you. At the end of your holiday or short break with us you will be given a questionnaire that you can complete if you wish. You may give this back to your driver or post/email to us as a later time.

Q. Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, we have various denominations that make great gifts and they can be used for payment towards day tours, holidays or short breaks.
They can be purchased by telephone or in person via our Travel Office.
